Young Aylmer pianists outplay the competition

 

Aylmer piano teacher Janine Van Kessel brought some of her students to a music festival on June 23 and 24. The Festival de Musique Jeunesse, which took place in Saint-Hyacinthe, was a huge success for the six pianists. They collected 19 awards, playing pop and classical solos, as well as a duet. Pictured are Aslam Samy, Lisette-Tara Khodabakhshi, Sebastian Popescu, Janine Van Kessel, Amelia Fitzgerald, and Marjory Fitzgerald. Absent from the picture is Sithy-Ni’mah Samy.
