Yappy dogs . . . or cats?
I would rather have quiet cats roaming the streets than listen to the annoying yap-yap-yap that many dog owners in Aylmer allow from their dogs. Such dog owners overlook the constant noise pollution. A simple remedy is to have their veterinarians do a procedure and have their voice boxes clipped or removed. It turns the yapping into a non-bark, a constant yawn but with no sound. Cats do not make this annoying sound; they purr and meow; plus they go out on their own, and don't need to be walked.
In my neighbourhood, we have a few yappy dogs that should have gone to obedience school, or their owners forgot to train the dogs properly and let them yap. In some ways, it is the owners’ fault.
In a perfect world, any dog that yaps is put to sleep and replaced with a dog that doesn’t.
