LETTER
Wilfrid Lavigne dog park incident
Is this really a safe place to bring your dog? (The dog club and the city) ask people to report aggressive dogs, but who cares about reporting when the fact of the matter is, once attacked, damages are done. Towards the dog and the owner.
I must say that both times I brought my dog to the Wilfrid Lavigne dog park, my dog was attacked. First time, being a new experience for me, I thought it was just bad luck. But today was the scariest moment for me.
Another dog attacked my Bouvier Bernois, but this time hurt my baby, right in the eye. Surprisingly, the owner was not reacting while the attack was happening, while I was yelling and screaming for that dog to leave mine alone.
Is this acceptable? Is this the outcome of me having confidence to bring my dog there? I had to bring him to the vet, buy antibiotics, all because of an aggressive dog. In my experience, dogs are usually aggressive or not. Right?
