Where have the squirrels gone?

 

I have a question that maybe the Bulletin could answer in an article (or its readers could answer).  I live on John Street by Parc des Cedres. We used to have many squirrels roaming our neighbourhood. They used to come and take my birdseed from the feeder every morning. I could watch them gathering things and playing in the trees. They could steal the plums off my tree...but now there is not even one. Not one! Where have they all gone? Has someone, or the city, killed them off?  

It would be very sad to see that a natural resident of the neighbourhood has been wiped out. I'm trying to find out what has happened to them and who is responsible? Can anyone help?
