What – 40 kph!

 

Not only has  Gatineau Council gone bollard crazy, they have lost their minds or been duped. During the last months, we have  seen our taxes rise, we have an ill-contrived garbage collection program — I guess the garbage lads will  be sent on a sniffing training course to be able to identify which garbage is in the right container — bollards everywhere to ensure our young ones grow up to be irresponsible, radar cameras in trucks, and now a ridiculous speed reduction. All of this is not for the good of citizens but just another old cash grab.

These infamous in-truck cameras have been tried in other cities and did not slow down traffic; most were removed. Another waste of taxpayers’ money. What’s next — legalizing random discriminatory profiling of citizens in their cars?
    
It seems Council is a backward group rather than visionaries of things to come.

Folks, stand up to Council,  get on your councillor’s back and  don’t let up, until they roll back these awful decisions.
