A new business founded by Aylmer resident shares “awesome” weekend plans
Some lament the lack of activities in the region and say there’s nothing to do in and around town, but Weeplanit disagrees. A novel company founded “on the doorsteps of a school” by Aylmer resident Guillaume Boudreau and his business partner Estelle Rapicault, Weeplanit can, as the name suggests, plan weekends and fun activities for families.
“We realized the importance of quality family time for families like ours. Our mission is clear. It is to offer families a better way to choose awesome weekend plans and spend quality family time,” said Boudreau. “Thanks to our backgrounds in computer programming, community development, education and leisure, we are able to deliver a service that reflects our mission.”
To get going, the family creates, at no charge, an online profile to help Weeplanit find the best plans for them. The family then receives, on a weekly basis, a list of activity ideas designed to match their profile. The final step is to have fun with family and friends, taking advantage of what the region has best to offer. “Our goal is sharing awesome weekend plans,” said Boudreau. Launched in the summer of 2016, Weeplanit already has 500 clients.
