Waterside festival open to all

The Grand Rivière Sailing Club and School is taking part in the 6th annual Fête du Nautisme on July 8 and 9 at the Aylmer Marina. To celebrate, the club is offering the public free rentals of canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, dinghies and pedal boats. In addition, there will be free two-hour sailboat tours around Lac Deschêsnes featuring an initiation to basic cruising and a BBQ will be held on site. The Fête du Nautisme began in France in 2000 and has been organized here by the Québec Marine Association since 2012. Their goal is to help people discover the wide range of easy and accessible watersports offered in Quebec. It also aims to promote and showcase our maritime heritage.
