Volunteering is life-changing!
Volunteer appreciation week, April 24 to 30, 2022
Montreal, April 13, 2022. – Led by the Fédération des Centres d'action bénévole du Québec (FCABQ), the 48th edition of Volunteer Appreciation Week will be held from April 24 to 30, 2022. With the theme "volunteering is life-changing!", it aims to recognize the millions of volunteers who invest in their community throughout Quebec each year.
For this 48th edition, the Federation wishes to highlight the considerable impact that volunteer action can have on everyone and how much it can change lives. Indeed, we now know that the simple act of volunteering can have a positive impact on the physical and psychological well-being of the volunteers themselves. Above all, volunteering changes the lives of those we serve. Finally, volunteering changes the life of an entire community, providing an opportunity to create strong communities rooted in solidarity, care, and mutual help.
The Centre d'action bénévole Accès Aylmer would like to take this opportunity to warmly thank the many volunteers who continue to help our community. Thanks to our volunteers, CAB Accès offers transportation to seniors to get to their appointments; friendship visits to isolated seniors; assistance with grocery shopping; help completing forms; full days of activities for seniors, including lunch, at our Centre (67 Principale); and tax clinics for low-income people.
Our volunteers improve the lives of several hundred people each year in the Aylmer area. It is clear – volunteering is life-changing!
