Visit Pelegrine Falcons nesting sites
April 29. Invitation for birders to visit Peregrine Falcons nesting sites between Quyon and Gatineau. An invitation of the Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais (COO). A visit at three or four well-known nesting sites in Gatineau and on Eardley’s escarpment. Some falcons will be on the nest! Discussion around identification and ecology of this bird of prey which accomplished a conspicuous comeback within our avifauna. We’ll also watch forest and field species found all along the run.
Rendez-vous: 8:00 am in the Canadian Tire parking lot, de la Carrière Boulevard, Hull sector. Your guide is Carl Savignac (csdendroica@gmail.com), a Peregrine Falcon expert in Canada. We speak English.
For detailed information about our activities (mostly open to everyone), visit our our website at www.coo.qc.ca.
