Vanier Road and Allumettières Boulevard

Aylmer’s expansion reaches another milestone

Construction for the new commercial building at the corner of Vanier Road and Allumettières Boulevard is drawing to a close. Piloted by La Trappe à Fromage, the two-storey open concept commercial project south of Allumettières Boulevard has 17,500 square feet of space primarily occupied by local businesses.

Many are already open as others continue setting up. Current businesses include La Trappe à Fromage, Pâtisserie Fine Fidélice, Tutti Frutti (breakfast and lunch) and more. Fleuriste Glenwood, previously on McConnell Road, is also part of the tenants list. “Yes, we are now at 425 Vanier Road,” said Lily Hao, one of the co-owners. “It’s a better location for us as there’s more traffic.”

Scheduled to open in summer 2014, the commercial building has opened a few months late.
