Vacant building on Principale?
I thought our City was very restrictive and careful of what architectural detail and what business ventures are allowed along Rue Principale? I’ve been looking at the dilapidated building, sitting empty for a few years, between the IGA and the SAQ -- not far from the new apartment complex at the Galeries Aylmer. The building used to house Pizza Pizza and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Whoever owns it should be obliged to demolish this eyesore, build a new building, or grass it over and give it to the City for a park. It’s an unsightly mess, very surprising given the regulations for Rue Principale.
Why have the city’s inspectors not done anything about this – that looks bad on them, too. The rest of us are supposed to follow the rules, aren’t we?
