Véronic Boyer and not Martin Roy is Action Gatineau’s candidate for Lucerne

 

Action Gatineau, the municipal party, officially accepted Véronic Boyer’s candidacy in Lucerne District (Ward 2), August 8. Ms Boyer has practiced law for nearly ten years, and has a Bachelor in Civil Law from the University of Ottawa as well as a Masters in International Law from the University of Montreal. Director of the Centre de justice de proximité de l’Outaouais since 2014, she was also the force behind several projects to help Outaouais citizens find solutions to their legal problems.

The candidate served on the Board of the Barreau de l’Outaouais as well as the Board of Directors for the Vieux-Moulin Residents’ Association. “I aim to continue improving my community, but on a local level now, by putting my qualifications and my experience to use on behalf of the residents of Lucerne,” explained Ms Boyer. “My involvement with my neighbourhood association has given me good ideas of issues important to residents. Among others, I hope to work proactively on files such as sustainable development, security and encouraging dialogue between residents and the municipal administration.”

Gilles Chagnon and Mamadou-Garanké Bah, both independent candidates, are also running in Lucerne.
