Unpleasant smell of spring 

With the snow melting, I wish the Bulletin would write about dog waste. Honestly, if people want to have dogs, they should pick up their waste. I walked with my family on the weekend along the old rail line and it was so disgusting. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way the SPCA Outaouais could issue fines to these dog owners. 

Like, maybe we could have a hotline to report when we see people walking their pets and not picking up the ‘doo’. 

Or would the Bulletin be willing to publish photos of these dogs? As a way to pressure the community into doing the right thing? I know China is doing this, a system of social credits. Maybe it is time for us to do the same in Aylmer. 

Spring is supposed to be a time for us to all get out and enjoy the special walking places. Just don’t go out without a nose plug, is my advice!
