Two new management career programs for adults at Cégep Heritage College
Cégep Heritage College, the Outaouais’ English-speaking public college, has just announced two new programs at its Gatineau campus: “Project Management” and “Applied Business Development”. Both new and innovative programs are to be offered part-time, two evenings a week, and the first course in each program is scheduled to begin this spring.
The Project Management Program trains workers to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, and to act as technical support to a Project Manager. Graduates from this Attestation program would become Project Control Officers. In particular, the program would be helpful for those individuals who aspire to move into a project management role.
Students of the Applied Business Development Program will learn the necessary skills to successfully manage the current operations of a business, to develop the competencies to execute a plan for future growth and development of a business, and to be able to create and implement a successful succession/exit plan from owning a business. People who would be most interested in the program are those who have started their own business within the last five years, or those who would like to move into a managerial role in a small- or medium-sized company.
Interested students are asked to register online for a special information session to be held at the college, on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 pm. For more information and to register, go to the college website at www.cegep-heritage.qc.ca.
By the way, you may have noticed the building expansion at Heritage, which is located at 325 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd. Construction is moving ahead as scheduled. Expected to be completed in the fall, the College is adding a new wing of classrooms and labs, an expansion to the library and to the sports facilities, and a state-of-the-art HD nursing simulation lab.
