Two collisions: same day, same intersection
Two collisions occurred on the same day at the corner of boulevard Lucerne and Place Samuel de Champlain (before the Champlain Bridge). At 10 am, Thursday, July 6, a car and a minibus collided, sending both drivers to the Hull hospital.
According to police reports, the two vehicles were both heading south on Place Samuel de Champlain, toward the bridge. The driver in the left lane attempted to turn right onto boulevard Lucerne, colliding with the vehicle in the right-hand lane.
One driver sustained an injury to the leg, while the other driver’s injuries are unknown.
The second accident occurred that evening at about 9:30 pm. One vehicle, westbound on boulevard Lucerne, with the right of way, collided with another car traveling south on Place Samuel de Champlain that had failed to stop at a red light.
Both drivers were injured, with one sustaining a shoulder injury. The other driver’s injuries are unknown.
