Trump on Quebec

 

I’m sure your Aylmer readers have not heard Mr Trump’s now famous remarks about Quebec.  He claims to be a great friend of the province’s nationalists, for one thing. Here’s what he said:     “I'm gonna make Quebec bilingual. They can't seem to do it on their own. I'm gonna do it for them and they'll thank me. They'll pay for the lessons! Then they'll go somewhere, get out of the hole they've been in for, how long?  Fifty years?  Has Quebec been around fifty years?

“Well, that’ll make Quebec great, and I’m gonna do it for them. . . .”
