Trucker’s protest

 

The trucker’s protest is what you get when the idiots decide to run the asylum.
    They offer “freedom” as the grounds to refuse to vaccinate themselves against COVID 19, thereby protecting both themselves and those they come in contact with from a disease which has killed millions around the world and left tens of millions of people grieving.
    But “No” the truckers say. “I shouldn’t have to do this” because I belong to a fringe group of truckers who thinks that they should have the power to change policy on both sides of the border.
    Let’s say one of these fools gets bitten by a rabid dog. Would they then refuse the life-saving rabies vaccine on the grounds of “freedom”? You bet they wouldn’t! When it came to their own well-being they would scurry to life saving vaccines as in a gold rush!
    It is a well known saying that your freedom to swing your arms ends where another’s nose begins. I submit that their diesel fumes and disruptions of the border are in society’s collective nose and should no longer be tolerated. Why the police aren’t enforcing the anti-idling and “no parking” bylaws suggests that they are on the truckers side and not on society’s side. Another reason to change policing. 
    Enough of these foolish protests! Enforce the laws! Tow them away! Even the truckers' associations on both sides of the border do not support them.
