Trekkies, Vulcan’s been found!
Astronomers have discovered a planet twice the size of Earth orbiting the star 40 Eridani just where Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek, said Spock’s home planet supposedly lies. 40 Eridani is not far and is a triple star; the newly located planet orbits the system’s primary star. That is what Spock claimed. At about 16 light-years from Earth, we’re told the star is bright enough to be seen with the naked eye. Has the Bulletin confirmed this reporting? An astronomy column would be great. Anyone in Aylmer seen it yet?
