Traffic lights at Aylmer Rd & Bordeau

 

I have been a resident of Aylmer all my life, and it is sad that Gatineau took over but there’s nothing we can do. Gatineau can do more.

For example, since Galeries Aylmer has only one entrance into parking (from Aylmer Road) and the same exit out, since we lost our Canadian Tire, why doesn’t Gatineau put an arrow at the traffic lights at the corner of Principal and Bordeau St?

So much traffic is coming up Bordeau St. to the lights at Principal that when you need to turn left to go down Principal we are stuck there forever because of the one exit coming out of Galeries.

That should have been installed a long time ago (even before Canadian Tire moved).  We are no longer 10,000 people living in Aylmer; Gatineau took over and now everyone wants to live here…

So wake up, you people working for the city of Gatineau, you install street lights…make the change.  If you have to pay someone to sit on the corner and watch how long it takes to turn down Principal St. from Bordeau, then do it!

Someone is sitting on the switch again…
