LETTER
TPP, Liberals and buy-local
The Bulletin is still a most enjoyable early Saturday morning read (while awaiting the rest of the house wakening). I thought your reply to Ms Nesbitt was respectful of her points and I’d be interested in knowing if/what she (or others) respond to your final point.
I found the ‘Buy Local & TPP’ editorial interesting and would agree with its strategic conclusion, but as a last and only ‘symbolic’ middle finger, should the Fiberals sell us all into the TPP’s overarching coup d’état, undermining what is left of Canada’s national sovereignty, local production and ability to self-govern in the larger public interest.
And if that were to occur (or after it probably does occur), I’d suggest there could be many Québec anglophones who might choose to throw their lot in with sovereignists and join the struggle for a separate and distinct Québec Nation which was committed to exempting its remaining citizens from future TPP/CETA/CCTP/ MRTA/NAFTA enslavement, especially in the not-too-distant future of an overheating (and overpopulated) Earth.
