Threatening Venezuela? 

I think it is ironic – or hypocritical – for the present federal government to be threatening other nations, like Venezuela, for failing to live up to “standards of democracy”. We have a government in power which did not receive a majority of Canadians’ support, running in an election where the information sources are controlled by private, vested interests, and where about 30 percent of Canadian votes will in effect not be counted (because they go to smaller parties) – and that makes us democratic and the others are not?  Independent media would be our only hope, and they are being strangled. 

It is apparent our government is following the orders of Trump (as with Huawei),  but also is claiming to Canadians that we actually live in a real democracy (where every vote counts).  If you don’t vote for the two big parties, your vote simply doesn’t count!  What a sorry comment!
