There are jobs open in tourism this summer
Summer vacations are fast approaching and so is the number of un-filled jobs in the tourism industry. To solve their labour shortage, the Alliance de l’Industrie Touristique du Québec and its partners launched the “My Tourism Job” recruitment campaign to fill the 20,000 vacant positions in Quebec’s tourism industry this summer.
The Outaouais already has approximately 16,000 regular jobs in tourism and an additional 1,280 jobs during the summer season. According to Tourism Outaouais information, the local industry is seeking about 855 people to assist tourists in their regional experience.
The sectors with the most job openings are food and accommodation, recreation and entertainment.
