The start of a hockey tradition in Aylmer

The first edition of the Jean Labonté Bantam-Midget hockey tournament wrapped up on February 7 after four days of hockey and close to 100 games played. Teams from across the province including from Cap-de-la-Madeleine and from Mistissini, came to Aylmer to participate in the provincial tournament.

Besides the hockey games, the tournament featured a sledge hockey exhibition at Frank-Robinson Arena during the tournament’s opening ceremony on February 5.
