The kindness of strangers

 

On the afternoon of Wednesday July 29 I was out for a run along the old railway trail. Came across a swarm of wasps and was stung twice. Having neglected to bring my epipen I had a bit of a problem. I managed to get back as far as Parc Lattion where I was able to rely on the kindness of strangers. I’d like to offer a huge thank you to Ian for summoning an ambulance and keeping an eye on me until it arrived. Also Dominic for his assistance. Thank you also to the others with them whose names I did not get. 

I was very well looked after by the ambulance crew and at Hôpital de Hull. Yet it is to those who stepped up when a stranger needed help that I am profoundly grateful.
