The Ferme Moore ceases all its activities
As of November 1, the Ferme Moore heritage estate ceased all its activities and operations. The difficult decision was taken by the Board of Directors of the Coopérative de solidarité de la Ferme Moore whose financial situation had been poor for some time.
For the time being, the community gardens are still open to the public.
The National Capital Commission (NCC) says it is saddened by this news. The NCC says it is ready to work with the City on future activities for the site. The NCC continues to believe in the tourist, heritage and urban agriculture vocation of the Domaine de la Ferme Moore.
The Coopérative de solidarité de la Ferme Moore was founded in 2015. The emblematic site, located at 670 Alexandre-Taché Boulevard, had welcomed 25,000 visitors during the Canada 150 Anniversary. (Trans.: CB)
