The convoy, a positive view

 

The truckers' convoy shows us that people really do care -- and want to express their views. It shows they believe their voices and presence do count.  They wouldn't be there otherwise. They believe the government and police will listen to them. It shows they are worried about our nation's future, worried enough to drive across the country and sleep in their cabs in freezing weather. This is not what happens with in autocratic government.      And so many people are angry with the protesters, also showing that they care, and that they want their views to influence our future, without violence.
