The Connexions Resource Centre is a non-profit community organisation with a mission to promote the health, vitality, and well-being of the English speaking population in the Outaouais. They are located at 67 rue du Couvent in Aylmer. They offer events, courses, and activities along with mental health services.
Connexions has been working to connect LGBTQ2+ individuals to the health and social services they need as well as collaborating with other local organisations to increase awareness of the needs of English-speaking LGBTQ2+ youth through their CHSSN's Youth Mental Health Initiative.
"I am thrilled to be working in partnership with our communities to help increase the offer of services and help build inclusive and safer spaces for English-speaking LGBTQ2+ youth. The community support and gratitude has been tremendous!,” said Michèle Gagnon, Community Engagement and Outreach Manager for Connexions.
This year they organised a pride festival in the Pontiac which welcomed over 150 people. Connexions is a pillar in the community and prides themselves on meeting the needs of Aylmer residents.
