The Bulletin celebrates 37 years

 

On May 21, The Bulletin d’Aylmer will celebrate its 37th year (ref Lisa McCreary). In the words of journalist and former editor Margaret Virany, “We wanted to encourage democracy” and “We wanted to be a paper of record”.  That it was and is, even with changing hands to the much-appreciated Ryan family.

As a newspaper, in the full meaning of a community newspaper, it has kept us informed on many levels. With all its journalistic articles – and also on the public level with its many contributors to the ‘Letters’ section – it documents the spirit of being a part of our West Quebec society with an open mind and diversity of thought.

Good work and congratulations, your accomplishments are well deserved!
