The 8th edition of the successful Boucher Forest Festival
Several residents gathered at Parc des Jardins-Lavigne on Saturday, September 15 for the famous Boucher Forest Festival. There were several activities for young and old. A hike by the Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais to discover the birds and biodiversity of the magnificent forest was organized for 8 am for early risers. A wild mushroom harvest by the Outaouais Amateur Mycologists took place during the day. People were able to admire the mushroom species in the plant space. At lunchtime, corn, hot dogs and cotton candy were served free of charge. A number of interactive kiosks were present and several elected officials came to enjoy a beautiful sunny day. More than 600 people attended the festivities, according to the Boucher Forest Foundation.
