Sweet life on rue Principale!
Rue Principale was full of happy Aylmerites enjoying tasty maple treats, including maple floss and lollipops, peanut dips and salad dressings, maple cider and wine, tir d’érable and sausage sandwiches, March 28-29. Local merchants such as Marché Laflamme, Vignoble du Clos Baillie, Bistro Mexicana 129 and William J. Walter sausage shop made sure no one went hungry (the line for sausage sandwich trios snaked around the corner). With their hunger and thirst sated, many decided to work off the calories at Bistro Mexicana’s outside patio along with a group of members from Aylmer’s Lime gym. Crowds gathered near Café Mulligan for treats, coffee and an amazing demonstration of woodworking skills by local artist Josh Dagg, who carved intricate animal sculptures with precision while using a chainsaw. The Monastery also held an open house featuring maple sugar pie and other delicacies. The following is a full list of participants: Boulangerie Aux Deux Frères, Béatrice et chocolates, Bistro 129 Mexicana, Bistro l’Autre Oeil, Boucherie A-1, Gâteau Néo, Marché Laflamme, Boutique Peaberry, Sérénithé, William J.
