STO: Heath Ledger did not die
Or at least his spirit didn't. For the Joker from "Batman Returns", Heath Ledger's alter-ego, appears to have a new job. Instead of plaguing the streets of Gotham City, the psychopathic clown appears to have been appointed to run STO. There can be no other explanation (for the following):
Well-running services have been replaced by lots of empty buses to nowhere, whilst rush hour ones have been stripped so bare their axles are nearly breaking under the load.
The bus stop information lines now give laughable information. For instance, my own stop that is regularly served once an hour announces that "There are no more services today" after about 6 o'clock in the morning.
The critical bus shelter at the Galeries Aylmer has been removed to ensure that shoppers are punished with frostbite, if they dare to shop there.
90% of the buses all seem to go to the Allumettières bus station, even though about the only reason to go there would be to have your lawn mower mended this snowy winter, at the store opposite.
Despite rock bottom oil prices, the price of a ticket has skyrocketed to nearly $4 a trip - almost the price of a taxi simply to go shopping.
And, now that the snow has fallen and the old folks and sick need the buses more that ever, they have all voted to go on strike.
Come back Batman and kick the Joker running the STO out of office! Even Mr Bean could do a
better job.
