SSVP's new president: St Mark’s Conference
Some people just have an innate nature to help others, putting other people’s happiness before their own. This is the case with Diane Boisjoli, the new president of St Mark’s Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. Ms Boisjoli was a social worker for the Ottawa hospital for 15 years and after retiring two years ago she felt that she still had work to do. That's when she joined the SSVP and was recently elected president of the conference. When asked by the Bulletin about her tasks, she said, ''As the president, I need to ensure the proper functioning of the conference, support members and be up to date on the changing needs of the community.''
