Sports more important than health care?

 

I find your front page photo from last week almost disgusting – I refer to the photo with the three macho guys in their sports gear posing for a shot.  They are not “guys” -- they are elected officials! But is it that once you give a male a ball, he becomes an idiot or just reverts to being a little boy?  

My objection is that here are three officials full of big grins over millions of tax dollars for new sports fields – with not the slightest hint of embarrassment that their government has just massacred our region’s healthcare, wiped out school commissioners, and crippled day care.  All to afford new sports fields?  What’s wrong with this picture?

We voters are the idiots, obviously.
