Speak up: Telephone survey on the Bulletin’s future
We want to
know your feelings about your only community newspaper. Aylmer
households will be asked to answer a telephone survey about the future
of the Bulletin, beginning soon. Following the news of several local
newspaper closures and cuts, the Bulletin, facing the same pressures, is
being attended to carefully.
The goal of the Bulletin team is to ensure Aylmer has a weekly local
newspaper for years to come. Readers have responded to our recent
articles about the Bulletin’s need to evolve, and have responded to the
difficult circumstances facing independent local media in our
increasingly corporatized world.
Our staff – local people – appreciate the remarkable reader response
so far, all the visits to the office, your letters, social-media posts,
and telephone calls, everyone expressing their support. We need your
help to keep helping Aylmer.
Your participation in our survey is also crucial. It will be by
telephone, sampling all Aylmer neighbourhoods. Please take a moment to
answer the few questions.
