SNC Lavalin: where’s the clarity? 

I really appreciated Mr Finseth’s letter of February 20, “Support for Trudeau . . . ”.  His explanations of the reasons for the Trudeau government acting as it has in the SNC-Lavalin scandal were informative.  Unfortunately, I expect such transparency from the Prime Minister and Ministers of his Cabinet.  

As a student of the history of  Québec and Canada, the actions of the present majority federal government recall the days of “la Grande Noirceur” of the Premier Maurice Duplessis majority Union Nationale governments from 1944 until 1959.

Canadian voters deserve transparency from their elected officials. They will have the opportunity to pass judgement on the last four years of majority government at the polling stations during the 43rd federal general election, October 21, 2019.  I can’t wait!
