Smoke screen?
The recent scandal surrounding the power play between Jody Wilson-Raybould and the Prime Minister begs the question of integrity. The publication of the recording between the Ex-Attorney General and the Clerk of the Privy Council, makes it appear as though Justin Trudeau was lying. One can’t help but interpret the PM’s reaction as a smoke screen. Of course, the ex-AG should have known better. But it raises the question as to why Jody Wilson-Raybould had to resort to such extraordinary measures if the PMO was innocent? With the PMO’s integrity already tainted, how is wagging a finger helping? And the expulsion of Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Phipott from the Liberal caucus, for whatever reason, only seems to add insult to injury. I wonder whose trust is broken now?
