Should Canadian Forces continue training in Ukraine?
Recent Canadian governments have been supportive of Ukraine and hostile to Russia following the coup d'état of February 2014, which replaced the elected, Russian favourable President with the current Ukrainian regime.
Canadian troops have been training Ukrainians to fight in the civil war in the Eastern Ukraine.
Such may be viewed as good politics within Canada by governments seeking to have support from Ukrainian-Canadians.
The validity of doing so internationally at the cost of good relations with Russia must be questioned, particularly should the new United States President act less aggressively.
