LETTER
Shop local, its worth it!
I am a local entrepreneur. I believe in the local economy and I strive to encourage those who encourage me. Walmart is cheaper, right. Here is what the big corporate shops do not do for me, living car-free.
Once at a local grocery store, the delivery girl offered me a ride home due to rain (in the middle of the meat aisle). “Do not walk home in the rain Ms,” she said. “I will drive you home.”
Another time, I was carrying a floor mat. “Do not walk home with that Ms, we will deliver it with your groceries,” said the cashier.
A third time, they forgot to charge me for an item. They called: “We will deliver the unpaid item and you can pay us on your next visit.”
I walk in and they say “hello!” They have memorized my name and address.
Personalized and caring service cannot be discounted in dollars.
