LETTER

September 26?

 

If you were the Prime Minister, and you had pledged to do your part in the eradication of Tuberculosis, at a time in history when all that was needed was political will, what would you be doing, September 26, 2018?

I will be watching the prime minister on that day, as TB knows no borders. Canada has its share of tuberculosis. On September 26, heads of state will gather for the UN general assembly high level meeting. For this HLM on TB to be truly groundbreaking, it must be attended by the highest-level country representatives. Prime Minister Trudeau should be attending, leading the Canadian delegation, for children and families affected by this disease within our borders and around the world.
