School board reorganization: five new hires for CSPO
On April 8, the Portages-de-l’Outaouais school board (CSPO) announced five new appointments in line with its policy on the management of executives.
Nathalie Mongeon, assistant director of the VisionAvenir Adult Vocational Training Centre, has been appointed director of the Regional Vocational Training Service in Outaouais. Her term of office will begin on July 1, 2020. Ms Mongeon has worked for just over 10 years in education and more than 20 years in the health field. She will take over from Élise Lacroix on her retirement. The CSPO would like to thank Ms Lacroix for her many years of service, as well as for her contribution to the advancement of vocational training, both regionally and provincially.
Catherine Dubuc, principal of Des Cavaliers School, has been appointed principal of the new 041 High School. The start date of her new term has yet to be determined. Ms Dubuc spent 17 years as principal and assistant principal of elementary schools.
Caroline Gingras, assistant principal of the RapidesDeschênes School, has been appointed principal of the Des Cavaliers School. The start date of her new term has yet to be determined. Ms Gingras has 24 years of experience in education.
Chantal Caron, assistant principal of De l’Île High School, has been appointed principal of the EuclideLanthier School. Her new term will begin on July 1, 2020. In the past, Ms Caron has held the positions of teacher, special needs teacher and educational advisor. She will take over from Patricia Ryan on her retirement. The CSPO would like to thank Ms Ryan for her 24 years of service with the organization.
Rachel Côté, an educational advisor at the CSPO, has been appointed assistant director of the Educational Resources Service. Her new term will begin on July 1, 2020. Ms Côté has been working in education for 24 years. She will take over from Isabelle Lemay, who has been appointed director of the Educational Resources Service.
“I am proud of the quality and expertise of the executives who work within our organization,” said Nadine Peterson, director general of the CSPO. “We have competent people to run our institutions and services. The appointees are experienced managers who work with community stakeholders for the success of all students. They have the required assets to successfully perform their new roles.”
