School 036 will open in 2020 after all

In an interesting turnaround, the 036 primary school will finally be opening its doors in September 2020.

After several days of negotiations by the CSPO board, the commissioners decided to overturn their decision to postpone opening the school to 2021 to expand the open 85-square-foot areas.

The special meeting held on August 22 was called by commissioners Nathalie Villeneuve and Alain Gauthier.

As part of the proceeding, it was determined that the call for tenders will be posted publicly on the website of the SEAO (Government of Quebec Electronic Tendering System) no later than Friday, August 30, 2019, for the minimum period required by law, until September 27, 2019.

It has also been determined that the school must be ready to open by the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, to reassure the parents of the 750 students who will be studying  on the premises of this new school in the Plateau sector.
