LETTER
Scape-goating Mulcair
Human sacrifice goes to humanity's dark ages. In some cultures, it would be a maiden or, let's say, a witch, warlock or a young warrior. In recent times, we find examples as in 1968 with Jan Palach burning himself for his just cause - a self-sacrifice.
In our political scenario, with our large media peddling its influence on the population, it is not expensive to hire specialists to sling mud into the clear and refreshing water.
Give me credit that I know what I am talking about, and that is what the Leader of the NDP encountered in the election campaign. There was no other choice for him, and Mr. Mulcair did what’s honourable, an act of self-sacrifice for our Canada. In my understanding, that is the most profound act I can bear witness to in my life. It is what sometimes we have to do if the beauty of Canada is to prevail over the darkness.
Often, in losing, one actually wins for our society. A most honourable sacrifice, Mr. Mulcair, I salute you!
