SAAQ: no debit cards

 

I have just paid my drivers licence fee at the SAAQ service centre at the mall. Did you know that they don’t take  debit cards anymore? So we pay by cash or cheque. And who carries cheques anymore?

The reason, stated by the lady at the counter, is that when the news mentioned a debit card service fee of $1.50, there was a complaint.

I bet the TD bank in the mall is happy. We now have to pay a $3.00 service fee at the bank machine there.
