Response to Thompsett letter

 

Mr Thompsett, Canada is a democratic country. It is no longer a feudality like in the past where a priest would dictate who went to school and who did not, who married whom and who could work.

God's representatives are not the law. The Church has no place in law.

I for one would rather live in a country where one has the freedom of choice and the knowledge that all arguments will be heard to some extent than in a country where none are.
