Response to editorial on fake news
In response to Fred Ryan's editorial about fake news: you might be consuming fake news if you watched the entire election cycle and didn't see any quotes from WikiLeaks from your TV channel or newspaper.
The Democrats' campaign never denied the accuracy of the WikiLeaks emails, many of which are the primary source of the accusations Fred Ryan laments and which reveal the very misdeeds he says are unfounded. They couldn't even plausibly deny them because they were too numerous, and they were digitally signed (DKIM) by the email provider.
Gems include insulting Latinos, blacks, Catholics, and Muslims, inciting violence (bird-dogging), lamenting the disappearance of "an unaware and compliant citizenry", accepting foreign election contributions, and many other things.
It's also obvious from an analysis of the Clinton Foundation that foreign influence and favouritism were very much at play. Even the New York Times covered the millions in cash flowing to the Clinton Foundation as a result of the sale of uranium assets to Russia. Now that the Clintons' influence has all but disappeared, donations to their Foundation should increase, with more time to devote to fundraising, right?
It's a good thing we no longer need to rely on gatekeepers to keep us "informed".
