Reply to Mr d’Eça
So Mr d’Eça feels poorly done by the comments of his detractors on these pages . . . “if the shoe fits”, is my reaction! He claims his comments are always “researched” – where are they researched? He rarely says. The Ottawa Sun seems to me the most common source of his views. I would be willing to bet that I could find every one of “his” comments in earlier editions of the Sun. And who thinks of the Sun as a reliable source of anything (except Ezra Levant’s stupidities).
Being a close reader of the Bulletin’s letters pages, I would also have characterized his views as those of a climate-change denier. Even Harper was back pedalling on the legitimacy of climate-change toward the end (and before Fort Mac), but back pedalling is not self-correction, Mr d’Eça.
And, yes, I am sure “the CEO of Exxon” is an insult. Maybe not years ago, before the Exxon Valdez, but today, I’m sure few people would associate themselves with that corporation’s destructive management policies.
