Repair Café - What a Great Event!  

Did you know that the first “Repair Café” was held in Gatineau, Sunday, December 2, at the Maison du Citoyen? What is a “Repair Café”,  you ask? It’s a place where people volunteer their time to repair defective items of all kinds. I brought my broken toaster and thanks to the brilliance of Daniel, one of many volunteers, I can now enjoy my morning toast again!

It is worth underscoring this event organized by the Fabrique mobile de l’Outaouais. Rather than throw away our devices/consumer goods and buy new ones, why not at least try to fix them? This kind of event allows people to maximize one of the three Rs in environmental protection (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).

When can we expect the next event of this kind to be held?
