Reconciliation with better access to nature  (Translated)

 

In Aylmer, we are fortunate to have Les cedrès park, the Boucher Forest and the Gatineau Park.  Elsewhere, it is often very difficult to have access to forests, to our waterways, to Nature.  Often our public lands (Crown land) are enclosed by private lands, preventing access to Our Lands, Our Nature.  More than a dozen countries, including Switzerland and Sweden, have laws allowing people to walk on private land, of course respecting rules such as a 200m no-entry zone around buildings.
    I suggest we change our laws in this sense, or rather to put these principles back into use, principles of the Indigenous Peoples for their unceded territories.  Wouldn't this be a concrete way to promote reconciliation while restoring access to Our Nature?
