Radioactive waste dump

 

Further to your excellent editorial on the process of pushing through a very dangerous radioactive waste dump. Those of us in proximity to a potentially leaky nuclear dump, within a kilometre of the Ottawa River, have every reason to be concerned and are becoming more so by the day.  Your proposal for an Ottawa site is, as you say, impossible, but Ottawa, too, is only hours away from nuclear disaster should there be a major mishap at Chalk River. The Ottawa River has always been a highway for travel and commerce -- and will work just as well to deliver radioactive waste downstream. Our waste, as well as that imported from other jurisdictions. Make your friends and relatives downstream aware, and get the dump moved away from the river before it is built!
