Radioactive blindnessor myopia?
I was sorry to hear at the Bulletin debate no mention of the radioactive dump proposed upstream on the Ottawa River. Any leak – or rupture of the fabric holding it – will affect millions downstream – only counting drinking water. I am willing to wager a thousand dollars that it will rupture – this radioactive material has a lifespan of thousands of years and the fabric is “guaranteed” for 300 years. Maybe my ancestors could collect my wager but it would be small comfort to them, faced with such a disaster. Maybe my poor French caused me to miss any reference, but if not, not a single candidate up there deserves to take a seat in our government.
